JOHN FOUNDAS | BIO
The creative anchor of our video production company is John Foundas. John co-founded Kuna Video along with Foundation Digital Media in Washington DC and the ever popular RideShare RoadTalk Podcast to continue his passion for filmmaking after a twenty-year career in Washington, DC network news. While serving as a White House Press Photographer during the Clinton Administration (1996-1999), John also held credentials at DOD, The State Department, and the United States Capitol.
He spent years traveling the country covering high profile events for Fox, CNN, AP and Tribune Broadcasting. Some of the more memorable news events were the Timothy McVeigh and OJ Simpson Trials, 1996 and 2000 Presidential Campaigns and countless hurricane hunting assignments. His account of covering 96′s Hurricane Bertha in North Carolina was published in the national industry magazine HD VIDEO PRO.
John has also been recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences with five Emmy Award nominations, three of which resulted in bringing home the coveted statuette. Additionally, John had the distinction of covering the September 11th attacks in NYC that somber day. He would go on to spend the next seven at “Ground Zero” and earn the Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Photojournalism.
John has channeled all his life experiences as a filmmaker, editor and producer and transferred them into the world of corporate video production where crafting a story, branding and identity are paramount. His connection to the client, attention to detail and production value make Kuna Video one of the most sought-after production companies in the region.
